Pentax Auto 110
In terms of image quality, System 10 is the first 110 camera that can honestly be favorably compared to a 35mm SLR. Pentax Auto 110 specs include shutter speeds from 1 sec to 1/750th, an exposure range of EV 3 to 17 at ASA 100, aperture ranges from f/2.8 to f/13.5, a silicon photo cell rather than the less sensitive CDS that was more in use at the time. The Auto 110 was also able to index itself for the new ASA 400 film. For the lower film speed setting, the camera would key itself to ASA 80. Centerweighted metering system. While the finder is small by 35mm standards, it is huge by 110 standards, and easy to focus with excellent contrast. Its two AA battery powered winder propelled film though at an astounding single frame per second. It works one frame at a time, and can not be used for sequential shooting. In a strange bit of camera design, the Auto 110's electronics are turned off by depressing the shutter release slightly, until some resistance if felt.

Instant camera
An instant camera is a type of camera with self-developing film. The most famous are those made by the Polaroid Corporation. The invention of modern instant cameras is generally credited to American scientist Edwin Land, who unveiled the first commercial instant camera, the Land Camera, in 1947, 10 years after founding the Polaroid Corporation.

Large format Camera
Large format describes photographic films, view cameras (including pinhole cameras) and processes that use a film or digital sensor the size of 6 x 9 cm or larger. The most common formats are 4 x 5 and 8 x 10 inches. Uncommon formats include quarter-plate, 5 x 7 inches, and 11 x 14 inches. The Polaroid 20 x 24 inches Instant Camera is the largest format camera currently in common usage, and can be hired from Polaroid agents in various countries. Many well-known photographers have used the 235-pound, wheeled-chassis Polaroid. Large Format Motion Picture cameras made by IMAX and Iwerks use perforated 120 film (aka 65/70mm).A number of actions need to be taken when using a large format camera, resulting in a more contemplative photographic style. For example, film loading using double-sided Film Holders requires a changing bag or darkroom (although users of the most common format, 4 X 5, may now use Ready-Load pre-packaged film, which is more convenient than loading film holders). A tripod is essential for most view camera work. The scene is composed and then a film holder is slotted into the camera back prior to exposure. A separate Polaroid back using instant film is used by some photographers, allowing previewing of the composition, correctness of exposure and depth of field before committing to film to be developed later. Failure to "polaroid" and exposure risks discovery later, at the time of film development, that there was an error in camera setup.

Medium format
Medium format is a film format in still photography. Generally, the term applies to any film size between 35mm and large format (eg: 4"x5" sheet film) and to the type of camera that uses the format. Due to the higher image resolution offered by the larger film size, the majority of medium format users are professional photographers who often require fine image detail, but the format is also favoured by many amateur enthusiasts. The main draw to medium format is that, due to its increased film size (around 3 to 4 times bigger than 35mm), it offers much higher image resolution. This allows for relatively big enlargements and smooth gradation without the grain or blur that would characterize similarly enlarged images produced from smaller film formats. While large format film used in view cameras offer greater film size and higher resolution still, they generally lack the versatility and convenience of a medium format camera due of their bulky size and relatively awkward processes.

Movie camera
The movie camera is a type of photographic camera which takes a rapid sequence of photographs on film; once developed this film can be projected as a motion picture. In contrast to a still camera which captures a single snapshot at a time, the movie camera takes a series of images, each called a "frame". This is accomplished through an intermittent mechanism. The frames are later played back in a movie projector at a specific speed, called the "frame rate" (number of frames per second) to give the illusion of motion. Our eyes and brain merge the separate pictures together to generate the illusion, a phenomenon called the "persistence of vision".Most of the optical and mechanical elements of a movie camera are present in the movie projector. The camera will not have an ilumination source and will maintain its film stock in a light-tight enclosure. A camera will also have exposure control via an iris aperature located on the lens. Otherwise, the requirements for film tensioning, take-up, intermittent motion, loops, and rack positioning are almost identical. See the movie projector article for these details and for the various film formats used.Video cameras (not movie cameras) can broadly be classified into two categories: analog and digital. Analog cameras are of the "tube" type; they are bulky and generally used in professional studios. Digital cameras are of the "CCD type"; they are light and portable, and generally used for home/office purposes.
